You know Sakshi comes late everynight?
O really! I thought she hardly come home!
I heard she is having an affair with Rohan – Megha’s husband!

Believe me my dear friend, the sixes are pouring like rockets and cheer leaders are giving Shilpa Shetty a run for her money! Sky is blazing with sixes by the little master – a pathetic time for little creatures in the form of bowlers who are hardly in form!

A sad day for democracy – flying shoes, currency notes and what not? Very pathetic that the opposition comes up blaming the Government for fake Swiss bank accounts. Sting operation done exclusively by India’s number one channel showed grim pictures of politicians joining hands to share black money stashed in the illegal Swiss Bank accounts…

Life is all about leaving with brotherhood, peace and devotion to God. God has given us the power to think and made us human being. We human beings woo a lot to mankind and we need to work hard. Remember, after many mortal lives, one gets birth as human. We need to work hard….
Fooled Again! Yes zapping television channels, with the beautiful looking – ever obedient – remote control, I got into many excerpts as mentioned above! I am lost! Lost in the thoughts of the old television… the old idiot box that fooled us with its arms wide open, but never really made mockery of our feelings. If I pass through a book stall and catch a glimpse of old Shaktimaan comic book now, the store keeper gives me a frosty nose stare; as if I am glued into the latest MMS… (read: dot dot)
Fooled again... by TV
If I search the whole You-Tube and comes up with the Jungle book – Mougli – video and plug in the volume of my music system, my nearest neighbor dates me back to the early 90s and the beautiful looking aunty next door humms back (I don’t know what the hmmm mean here).
My laptop might become a collection of pirated movies and “educational films” but viruses like Ramayana and Mahabaharata won’t at all get a chance to enter. Even my television is anti-virus fed now as they hardly appears there too!
But… life has really changed – all points prove that to perfection. The old Shanti has been replaced by Balika Vadhu and even Doordarshan has been replaced by Colours, Star Plus, Bindaas, NDTV Imagine etc… As the popular radio advertisement of Mail Today goes, DishTV ditched the old television format and reality shows did so to the evergreen Antakshiri! Remember the old days when we wait whole week to see the Friday Prime Time Movie or the Sunday Rangoli?
The point is: are we fooled more often now? The old programs look foolish now, but the newer ones are playing with our emotions. Isn’t it? The news format has changed many a times now. The old tele-prompter reading style has been kicked out by far. Sensation is the newest keyword for every television program – even the Indian Premiere League or an international marriage affair! (Sania Mirza getting married to Shoaib Malik)
I wonder till when we will be fooled like this… opps! fooled again! ;)

Very true… Who wants the ‘ramayana’ and ‘mahabharata’ virus on their laptop… sorry, not me… have seen a lot of them during my childhood… it all seems so superflous now…
When the old ‘Shanti’ herself has changed her avtaar and come to the world of cricket, trying to fool us that she knows all about cricket, who is our little “Anandi” to stop this mockery…

Ha! The good old days of television! How I miss those! ( It was actually one of the topics I wanted to blog about) And you’re right. We ARE being made fools, they think they can dump crappy shows on us and still expect us to watch. Nice post overall, but erm… if you don’t mind me saying it.. A few grammatical mistakes here and there.

A humorous taken on same issue Swayambu had written a more serious article about. Written nicely. Full agree that media is making fools of us all. Posting comments after contest as I was out of town.

By the way if you have time do check out my entry as well.
