Life begins at 40! – A saying most old age people want to go with. At 20, life is at the juncture of immaturity, innocence and some haphazard decisions often backed by certain power-packs of testosterone or estrogen whatever hormones dominantly found inside. The ejaculation is such hard and abrupt that one goes by the gut feeling and a higher percentage ends up in a mesh – or at least in the mud!
One such night, my brain stuck enlightenment and backed by my blog, I raced forward to become a content writer. Maybe the odd comments by fellow bloggers and visitors punched my hormone(s) in such a way that both my head and the heart said, “Grab it dude, you write well!”
“jayanta…” and I signed the deal! I am a content writer now – a social media content writer! Now don’t call it unprofessionalism, the very first write-up I wrote, at the end of the day, I felt like editing it in a way that it fits into my blog “Life’s Purple” and I don’t end up looking at the piece in the company’s blog with the tag “Posted by ….Team”. Everytime I get a topic to write, I felt like betraying the rookie writer within me! My feelings don’t count as it’s all about “keywords” thereby satisfying big daddy Google and my big boss! Make the cut, the deadlines and faking the world that I am a content writer and I know everything – the end note is I am asked to consult top niche blogs and re-write the content adding salt from one and the necessary spices from the other – it felt like the creativity and imagination within me takes a back seat whenever it comes to professional writing.
‘Deadlines amuse me’, saw somewhere, but never felt if a writer too banks on that. As a fellow blogger wrote in Indiblogger, I thought, re-decided and took over my control. I am gone now, but this stint as a content writer taught me, ‘never ever try to put foot on two ships at a time’ and never ever buy a platform ticket and start travelling in the train! Better be prepared and decide what you love and what you like!
I write because it really amuses me; because it helps me to tug my inner sense together into these words. Maybe to turn you passion into your profession is in the doctors’ prescription, but there lies a gap between. If at some point of time, its felt that your profession is killing your passion, better give a skip.
Agreed?
Life of a content writer is tough, I felt so. It’s tougher when you don’t get the name inscribed after the post and if you feel the music of irony, then you might end up getting you big boss’s name ‘pasted’ at the end as the real author!
Just imagine if someone hacks your brain like that… do you still want to be a content writer? Maybe I get the answer, but the flip side seems bit rosy. For a rookie, content writing is a good option as it tests your English and GK only – a test that is regarded as exciting and easy in schools, as compared to the hardcore materials based on numbers and DND traits! The only suggestion that the fluids inside my skull want to render is that “never start blogging with professional content writing”. Yes, either go on with different genre or skip any of the plans!
This write-up is not written to hurt the feelings of any of my bosses under whom I worked. I have not named out the company I worked for, for the reason that I don’t want to defame neither the profession and nor the company as such. It was a nice experience for me to be associated with that company. This is a take on personal bloggers who somehow tends to move towards professional content development.
Hey man.
Nice post. I know what you are talking about when you say, “It’s tougher when you don’t get the name inscribed after the post and if you feel the music of irony, then you might end up getting you big boss’s name ‘pasted’ at the end as the real author”
Has happened and feels like shit… You just got another reader…

nice post DJ… Yah I do agree that the creativity and imagination within us do take a back seat when it comes to professional content writing online coz we have take into account the keywords and phrases that are mostly searched for and thus impress the big daddy Google.

Every word of it is highly agreed!
I just wonder, how could someone scribe his/her personal feelings in such posts that could be so interesting…
Nice Post.
I hate to say it but I know exactly what you are feeling. I fell into content writing at the place I work just by chance (content is king and all that) and it is definitely different from personal blogging.
Although I suppose if I cared more about personal blogging I would be focusing on keywords and optimizing and all that.

Content writers are always the best for me. They have a lot of ideas to tell all the time.
I hear you. That would really hurt because your ideas were credited to other people and the worst part is that it is part of your job. Its like taking a painting from an artist. You’re a good writer and I suggest you pour out all your other best ideas here in your blog.
Oh my gosh, that must be a horrible feeling to not be able to put your name at the end of your work. I am so sorry for that. Now I know how my hired content writer must feel. But hey, that’s why I give her the bonuses right?

What a wonderful article. I spend hours on the internet reading blogs, about tons of different subjects. I have to first of all give kudos to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an unbelievable post. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only a few posses and frankly you have it. The combination of informative and quality content is definitely extremely rare with the large amount of blogs on the internet.
I am no writer, but an assiduous reader, who loves to find texts as well written as this. Like a good movie, so we finished reading dedicate some time to think about it. Congratulations.
I agree with you 100% that the life of a content writer is quite difficult as content writers faces many challenges in their lives when writing a content. Especially when they have write contents about the two topic that are quite similar to one another and they have to write in such a way that they won’t match each other and things like that. Thank you very much for such a nice post..
I am glad to see the post about content writer as i am willing to become one and i am sure that your post would be quite useful in making me a good content writer… Thanks for the great post
Another great post. This is my 3rd time to your site and I’ve found a lot of great stuff. I’m also a writer trying to not go crazy, but I wouldn’t want any other job.

I’ve been through similar experiences with writing. I used to try to write for search engines, but now I write for people. It feels more right that way and it is easier to be creative.
