What if…

Living with room-mates… I describe roommates as the ones who are most switched in life. Confused? Yes you got to be if you enter a hostel where the bathroom is the only fixed place which is used accordingly and the rest…? All mess! Some say hostels are the modern day Kalapani but as Robinson Crusoe enjoyed his ‘lonely’ stay at the islands, there are a good bunch of them too…

I got a chance – a golden one – to be a part of two! Yes two… I discussed some of them in tranquility here and the rest what if…! Yes, with the advancement in thoughts and technology, there comes a certain place that becomes your all round canvas – where you chanted together, made friends – girlfriends (boyfriends too). I am talking about the place from where you have done your schooling. A place that will always be something that is seen as a cherry on your beautiful life…
Let me ask a question now. After so many years, what if you get a chance to spend some time with your old friends at the same place… the same hostel, room… the city bus… the movie halls (multiplexes are common now only)… chasing your – to be – girlfriend, the mix of innocence and madness… What if…!
Got a shocker? Or lost in thoughts… the days of enigma in uniform… uncontrolled emotions and something called simplicity – that’s gone somewhere now… The hooting in cinema halls doesn’t happen now and your best friend answers your call with the words – “What friend… has got some work…?”
“Grow up”. That’s what I have heard ever since the chord connecting my ears and the brain; if any; tugged in. But this ‘growing up’ has always deteriorated the number of friends that I have… rather had… (If I don’t count the socio-net sites – the all new social media)… when we are to bunk classes for a movie, we were a bunch, but now… for a chat I find none…
What if… you get a chance to be back to those days of fun and…

We can do something but b4 that we need to keep the present spark alive so that this day too can find a place in our nostalgia – decades from now!
Cheers…

That is nice when you have fond memories of school, but what if your memories are not that good. You were teased. Maybe we will not want to go back to those years. Maybe life is much better when we are grown up, in the present.

I changed schools about 10 times growing up, so I do not have that many good memories.

Sometimes the past seems like the best option and the time spent there seems like the best time we had but thinking hard on the feelings used to have on the past it’s propably not the best time. The best time is the time we are now because you can’t never go back in time.
